Pion Design - A Banner Day

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Today I am playing mix and match with the new Pion Design collection "Theodore & Bella", and a few of my other favourite collections as well. I love to coordinate the colours and patterns together to get a brand new look! You would never know that this card has Christmas paper in it, that's how versatile the collections are!

I've had some questions regarding our strange late season snowfall, so I thought I would clarify for those of you non-Canadians. This sort of weather is actually the norm for us here. We would usually get snow well into April and even see some snowflakes falling in May. Last year and this year have been the exception, the mild weather and lack of snow are not how we usually spend the winter season. I'm hoping this is not a sign of winters to come, our plant and wildlife are suffering dearly.

That being said, I am enjoying this last round of snowy days. How about this yellow tree I found!!

For my birds today I have this female Sparrow in the snow...

A Blue Jay taking flight...

... and my token Cardinal shot, a female beauty!

♫♫ "Found a peanut. Found a peanut. Found a peeeanut laaast night." ♫♫
♫♫ "Laaast night I found a... wait, there's another one!"

"Noooooo! It's too late for this snow, I've already started moulting! Darn you Mother Nature!"
~Busty Bertha~

"Listen human, I come from a long line of stare-down champions, so you don't intimidate me at all!"
~The Cute Twin~

For my macro today, a close up of the fun yellow tree I found...

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

  9. Hi Pamellia,
oh how gorgeous is this, and no you would never know you had used C paper.
I always love everyting you create as it always so superb and lovely.
Yes you are right about snow that was how I imagined Canada to be.
I watched a program on Yellow SStone Park and they get snow sometimes up to June imagine that.
I sometimes think we are lucky where we live, but your scenery is stunning for what I have seen of it, but then I suppose we all have some wonderful scenery too where ever we may live.
Scotland has some amazing scenery that I have ever encountered, and the air is os clean compaired to the South of England.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  10. Beautiful card! I think that tree might be some sort of witch hazel, not sure. They are supposed to be fragrant if it is warmer.

Its a shame the furry friends started loosing their winter coats, lets hope the cold stops them from loosing more.

  16. Oh My! This is sooo beautiful and I love that quote! The weather differences these days are certainly giving a different view of wildlife and plants! We have seen very early lambs in the fields and plants that don't normally flower until much later in the year! Your cuties look so beautiful and I love your macro shot! Hugs, Chrisx

  24. Hehhehe - what a great quote and LOVELY card. My feet are usually dirty and my hair messy but my eyes are probably more tired that sparkly at the end of the day!!

Once again - I think this card is super for a lot of occasions - even an older person would love this!! The colors are so elegant - it's just has a "high end" look about it.

Of course, your photos are WONDERFUL Pamellia and they always make my day (hubbies too)! Xj.

  25. Beautiful card, Pamellia - gorgeous soft blue tones to bring out just enough "tom-boy-ish-ness" to go with the feminine quality of the card AND that fun sentiment! It's so pretty! Those little balloons almost look transparent, don't they? Darling card, in a pretty setting! I like those kind of unexpected, fun elements in a creation!

Beautiful photos, and it's always a pleasure to see your critter friends enjoying the rewards of their Pamellia-provided feast.

    hugs,

  27. Thank you for the feedback on Canadian weather patterns, it is true, you really do get a lot of snow as a rule.

Fabulous card, great colours and lovely sentiment but the teddy is the best element of course. So many layers and lovely flowers as well.

All of the nature shots are lovely but I think the one of Busty Bertha is so sweet.
