Craft Boots GD - Spring is in the Air

Hello Everyone!

I am honoured to be here today as the Guest Designer over at my favourite challenge blog Crafty Boots. Their current challenge "SPRING IS IN THE AIR" really inspired me to let "Bold Angel" take over for the day and use some of the brilliant Blue Jays and spring blossoms that I've been tickled to discover around my new home. I do hope you will join us in this wonderful challenge!

The gorgeous papers and bright colours are all from Canvas Corp Brands. I have included a complete supply list below. The crackle paint is DecoArt, the leaves are Cheery Lynn, the 'smile' die cut is Sizzix and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

***

My card today was totally inspired by the local Blue Jay community. I have discovered that they too like peanuts, and now they've started perching on the trees closest to the food! So here is my story of...
THE PEANUT HEIST!! (with an accent of unknown origin) lol

"Halloooo. Me name is Bernie da Blue Jay and I am on zee lookout for me morning snacks"
"WAIT...did me just see dat lady putting a peanut for dat squirrel? ME WANTS IT"

"Me has a plan, but me betters make sure da coast is clear first"
"ME LOOKS TO DA LEFT"

"ME LOOKS TO DA RIGHT"

"ME SWOOPS IN AT LIGHTNING SPEEDS AND SNAPS IT UPS"

"BWAHAHA...dat squirrel didn't even sees me coming!'
"I'M DA KING OF ZA WORLD!!"

My token morning coffee shot.

OK, so sky and clouds...not exciting, but in the city it was mostly smog so I love my clouds!

And a big hello from Chocolate Charlie and Dee Dee as they eat some lunch in the sun!

UPDATE: Less than 24 hours after taking these beautiful spring photographs, my world was covered in a blanket of snow! So I send this message to Mother Nature..."HEY CRAZY LADY. IF YOU WANT TO ADD GLITTER TO THAT GLUE YOU'RE SNIFFING, FINE, BUT DON'T DUMP YOUR WACKADOO ON ME, I'D RATHER NOT STEP IN IT!"

Can anyone name that quote??

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.

  2. Blue Jays are such pretty birds Pamellia, we have some in the garden and last year saw four feeding all at the same time, a lovely sight.

And yours looks to have flown right onto your beautiful Spring creation, so pretty along with the fresh greens.

  13. ooooooh! does this beauty EVER look like a Pamellia card! WOW! gorgeously bright and vivid - it really shows the loveliness and inspiration you receive from Nature, dear friend. Love everything about the card - all the pretty layers and embellies, but in this one, it is those fussy cut birds to share their place in the masterpiece - as though they have flown from your photos into your heart, and from your heart into your hands, and then resting in the paper. GORGEOUS! hugs, de
