Crafty Cardmakers - #132 - Love, Love, Love

Hello Everyone!

It's time for another challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and More! This time around our lovely hostess Lorraine has chosen the theme LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, so let's see all of those romantic Valentines, Anniversary, Engagement or Wedding cards! Here is my make.

I decided to go with a romantic garden theme. I think this will come in handy for a wedding card or an anniversary card, should I need one.

Another new flower for you today. I think they look a little bit like Hollyhocks, so that's what I'm going to call them. I made them using Joy Crafts Flower 1 and coloured them with Tim Holtz distress inks, Worn Lipstick, Victorian Velvet and Spun Sugar. I sprinkled some micro-beads on the inside just for the heck of it.

The background was painted with DecoArt Gesso and then stamped with Hero Arts shadow ink Soft Sand and a texture stamp from Prima. The wonderful garden scene with the birdcages and birds is combination of stamps from Kaisercraft.

The base layer I did using the emboss resist technique, a border stamp from Kaisercraft and Tim Holtz distress inks Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet. I edged it slightly with Gathered Twigs.

The filigree leaves are from Frantic Stamper and the other leaves are from the Spellbinders Foliage set. The corner piece is made from crafter's clay and a silicone mold.

Isn't that little dragonfly so cute!! He is stamped from a DoCrafts Papermania set and fussy cut out. The background stamp in the corner is from Prima.

The hearts are cut out from Go Kreate. The bird and birdhouse were made with crafter's clay and silicone molds. I covered them with Tim Holtz Picket Fence crackle paint and antiqued them with Gathered Twigs.

I hope you can see the wonderful ivory micro-beads that are glued here and there, so much fun!!

I am entering my romantic garden card into the following wonderful challenges:

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.

    1. Thanks so much Marci! I'm sorry, but I'm not totally sure what brand they are. I dumped them into a Tupperware dish and threw away the original container...oops! Possibly American Crafts? I do remember that they were claiming they were white, but they are actually ivory, I was quite disappointed. Not much help I'm afraid. hugs :)

  47. Hi Pamellia, I stopped by for some inspiration because I am making a few last minute Valentine's cards and just wasn't feeling it! Wow...am I ever feeling it now!!!! I think I need to get married or have an anniversary because I have got to have this card! I love all those techniques you've used from the emboss resist to the shadow stamping. The hollyhocks (yes, that's what they look like to me, too!) are fab-uuuu--lasss! (Stretch out that last syllable) with that sweet color and those micro beads. Everything, everything is just wonderful! Now, I will go back to my Closet with my tail between my legs and TRY to make something! I'll be back to drool later when I have a few more minutes (hours). Big warm hugs to you!
